We can carry out on-the-spot repairs at our workshop premises between our usual opening hours, in addition to this we can also carry out all specialist repairs and services to suite your individual needs. This can include repositioning thumb rests, shortening barrels or simply altering keys.

Working Order

This service is primarily for instruments that are up to 3 years old or that have been serviced regularly. This service includes checking the instrument for any leaks, re-seating pads, resetting the regulation where necessary and generally putting the instrument back into a playing order.

Full Service

This service includes the complete strip down of the instrument, cleaning and polishing of the body and key work, re-seating and replacing any pads where necessary. The replacement of any corks and springs which might be required, The complete regulation of the instrument, oiling of the mechanism along with the straightening of bent keys or dent removal if required.

Complete Overhaul

This service includes everything listed within the full service but also includes the complete replacement of all pads and corks.

Brass services include the disassembly of the instrument, internal cleaning and the removal of accessible dents. Complete cleaning of all valves and casings, re-felting and lubricating of all moving parts. Large dents and polishing of silver plated or un-lacquered instruments are charged at an additional hourly rate.
